How I learnt Chinese (Zhongwen)

As COVID-19 kicked off in Australia, my father declared it was a Chinese conspiracy to start WW3. I felt like when I get called "Ching-Chong", because this was plainly a racist, anti-Chinese rant. Yet he addressed it to his four only children, who are all 50% Southern Chinese by DNA. It motivated me to realise his attitudes were the main culprit I had no Chinese cultural upbringing --- and to begin the journey to learn Zhongwen from scratch.
